This intensive landscape painting workshop will encourage students to engage phenomenologically with the natural environment and to respond to the infinite possibilities and challenges of working outside. Using Sweden’s only urban national park, Norra Djurgården, as our open-air studio, we will spend 3 full days painting on-site, in the forest. The course is open to all skill levels as we will focus on core painting concepts such as composition, basic color theory, color mixing, local color, shape, spatial relationships, surface, edge and abstraction.
